Jey-Hsin Chen, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Chen attended Mayo Medical School and is Board certified in Anatomic pathology and Hematopathology. He completed several residencies at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, including two years in Anatomic pathology, one year in Hematopathology and six months each in Cardiovascular, Pulmonary and Renal pathology. He then went on to complete a Gastrointestinal fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Before joining CellNetix, Dr.
Full BioCellNetix Pathologists with sub-specialty expertise in Transplant Pathology play a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of patients who have received renal, liver, and pancreatic transplants. They process and interpret biopsied material from transplanted organs, as well as biopsies from the native tissue of patients being considered for, or having undergone transplantation. Dr. Don Howard, Chairman of the Board of CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories, leads our Transplant Pathology sub-specialty. CellNetix follows the Banff classification of renal transplant rejection, the most reproducible and widely accepted in the world.
CellNetix Pathologists can perform immunofluorescence studies on kidney biopsies as well as a variety of immunohistologic and selected molecular studies. Our state-of-the-art bar-coding system has been shown to reduce common histologic slide identification errors by 95% and overall case identification errors by 62%.
