Dr. Horton attended medical school at the Albany Medical College in Albany, NY and was fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Pulmonary and Mediastinal Branch in Washington, DC. Dr. Horton also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He holds sub-specialty expertise in Pulmonary Pathology and Transplant Pathology.
Full BioThe most important prognostic and treatment factor for lung cancer is accurate pathologic classification and staging. CellNetix’ Pulmonary & Mediastinal Pathology team are experts in accurately diagnosing neoplastic and non-neoplastic specimens. They have many years experience as pathology liaisons to intradepartmental lung tumor boards and conferences in a number of practice settings. Dr. Matthew Horton, Medical Director of CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories, leads our Pulmonary and Mediastinal Pathology sub-specialty. Dr. Horton trained at the Pulmonary and Mediastinal Branch of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, D.C.
