Jon A. Reed, M.D. joined CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories in 2009 from Baylor College of Medicine, where he has been the Director of Dermatopathology and a tenured Professor of Pathology and of Dermatology.

Dr. Reed has an international reputation as an invited lecturer, presenter and researcher. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards and is a member of the editorial boards for several professional journals. He has produced over 75 peer-reviewed publications as well as over 120 original abstracts.

CellNetix pathologists are trained in the interpretation of Direct Immunofluorescence (DIF) studies of skin and mucosal biopsies. Our DIF test panel uses labeled antibodies to detect deposits of immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA or IgM), complement (C3), and fibrinogen. Dr. Jon Reed, who has an international reputation as an invited lecturer and researcher in dermatopathology, leads our Dermatopathology Section and the Direct Immunofluorescence Testing Service.
