Dr. Horton attended medical school at the Albany Medical College in Albany, NY and was fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Pulmonary and Mediastinal Branch in Washington, DC. Dr. Horton also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He holds sub-specialty expertise in Pulmonary Pathology and Transplant Pathology.

Since 2001, Dr. Horton has served as a general Surgical Pathologist and Pulmonary Pathologist consultant for CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories. His two-year tour at the Armed Forces Institute provided the training that is the basis for his expert opinions in challenging pulmonary and mediastinal cases. He has specific experience in interstitial lung disease, mesothelioma, and thymic neoplasms.
