Ernest Kawamoto, M.D.

Laboratory Medical Director, Swedish/ Edmonds Hospital

Currently, Dr. Kawamoto is the Laboratory Medical Director at Stevens Hospital. He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver and is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Kawamoto was fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Colorado Medical Center.

Dr. Kawamoto joined the pathology group that would become CellNetix in 1986. He is fellowship trained in Cytopathology with a focus on Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), but considers himself a generalist. His main interest in clinical pathology is in Hematology and coagulation.
