- Article in King County Medical Society Bulletin spotlights use of bar-coding in CellNetix lab

In April, 2009, the American Journal of Clinical Pathology published an important study proving that laboratory bar-coding systems dramatically reduce errors in pathology and improve patient safety. With this technology, common histologic slide identification errors are reduced by 95%, and overall case identification errors are reduced by 62%. As one of a small number of laboratories in the country to have a bar-coding system in place from specimen receipt to pathologist sign out, CellNetix worked with the King County Medical Society to author an article highlighting the system and sounding a call to arms to other pathology laboratories and the physicians who use them.
