Donald R. Howard, M.D., Ph.D.

Chairman of the Board and CEO

As Chairman and CEO, Dr. Howard leads CellNetix' best-in-class, highly sub-specialized pathology group and laboratories. He has authored numerous publications related to the imunobiology of malignant diseases, particularly breast cancer and lymphomas, and is a regular speaker at national pathology and laboratory conferences. Dr. Howard serves on the editorial advisory board of Washington G2 Reports.

Dr. Howard attended medical school at the Albany Medical College in New York and completed a Terry Fox Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of Canada. He also completed residencies at Pathology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, in Pathology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, in Pathology at the University of California in San Francisco, and in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Howard holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology (Immunology) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He has additional expertise in strategic and business management of pathology organizations, Immunopathology, and Transplant Pathology (Kidney).

David J. Corwin, M.D.

President, CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories

David J. Corwin, M.D. is President of CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories as well as Chief of Pathology and Director of Laboratories at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He is consistently named by his peers as one of Seattle's top pathologists, appearing year after year in the "Best Doctors" issues of regional magazines such as Seattle and Seattle Metropolitan.

Dr. Corwin is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and has served on the Immunology Device Advisory Board of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and as a member of the Consultant Panel at The Center for Health Dispute Resolution. Dr. Corwin also served as chairman of the Cell Markers Committee of the College of American Pathology (CAP).

Dr. Corwin attended medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also completed residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Corwin holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Clinical Chemistry (tumor markers, endocrine testing, serologic testing and prenatal testing), Flow Cytometry, Hematopathology, and Laboratory Administration.

 

David Anderson

COO

David Anderson, COO, joined CellNetix from LifeSpan BioSciences Inc. where he was Sr. Vice President. Prior to that, he was the Associate General Manager for the Northwest Region at Dynacare Laboratories Inc. David was the key driver in the design, build, and successful launch of the new consolidated laboratory and hiring of technical staff. David’s mission is to build a best-in-class pathology laboratory to support pathologist and client medical practices.

Pat Cooke

CIO

Prior to joining CellNetix as CIO, Pat Cooke owned a successful Seattle-based IT consulting company, ISOutsource.com. As CIO, Pat has designed and overseen the implementation of a company-wide IT infrastructure and Laboratory Information System (LIS). This unique LIS uses advanced technologies such as barcoding, telepathology and integrated speciman tracking to make sure that our clients’ specimens are correctly tracked from specimen pickup to report delivery and that the resulting diagnosis leverages (through telepathology) our sub-specialty expertise. Pat’s drive and creativity keep CellNetix focused on cost-effective ways of leveraging new technology to ensure excellent patient care.

Randy Borek

CFO

Our CFO, J. Randy Borek, CPA, has more than nineteen years of accounting experience. He worked for ten years in the public accounting sector before moving into healthcare where he has focused his work for the past nine years. Prior to joining CellNetix, Randy was a financial consultant with Per-Se Technologies (now part of McKesson), one of the nation’s largest medical billing companies. He was a key player the formation of CellNetix, and provides excellent financial oversight ensuring good financial practices and keeping CellNetix strong in a changing marketplace.
