Dr. Boudousquie attended medical school at the Oregon Health Services University in Portland. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology.
Dr. Braaten attended medical school at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. At the same institute, she completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Braaten brings expertise in Breast, Genitourinary, and Head & Neck pathology to CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories. Before joining CellNetix in 2008, Dr. Braaten was on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Cady attended medical school at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He is board certified in Hematopathology, Anatomic Pathology, and Clinical Pathology. Dr.
Dr. Chong obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and his MBA from the University of Dubuque in Iowa. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology. Dr. Chong completed a fellowship in Hematopathology from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.
Dr. Coco is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has sub-specialty expertise in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology. He is fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology (emphasis on Genitourinary, Breast, and Soft Tissue Pathology) and in Gastrointestinal Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
David J. Corwin, M.D. is President of CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories as well as Chief of Pathology and Director of Laboratories at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He is consistently named by his peers as one of Seattle's top pathologists, appearing year after year in the "Best Doctors" issues of regional magazines such as Seattle and Seattle Metropolitan.
Dr. DeSouza received her Medical Degree from the University of Bombay, Goa Medical College in India. She was fellowship trained at the American Cancer Society, Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle. She also completed residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Washington and in Anesthesiology at the Goa Medical College.
Dr. DeSouza has been a pathologist with Northwest Pathology Services since 2003 until the 2008 merger with CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories. Her special interests are Cytology and Breast Pathology.
Dr. Edgar is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology and holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Soft Tissue/Bones/Joints Pathology. Dr. Edgar has a special interest in tumors of the nervous system, bone and soft tissue, and his principal expertise is in the diagnosis of tumors and tumor-like conditions affecting these areas.
After earning a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology at Harvard University, Dr. Edmonson received his MD from the Mayo Clinic and then completed his pathology residency training at the University of Washington in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Following residency, he continued at the University of Washington in a one year fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Surgical Pathology under the direction of Drs. Mary Bronner and Cyrus Rubin.
Dr. Fidda obtained her Medical Degree at Damascus University in Syria. She is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology. She holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA).
Dr. Fidda is fellowship trained in Cytopathology and Surgical Pathology from the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. She completed residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and in Surgical Pathology at the Oregon Health and Science University.
Dr. Freed is currently the Laboratory Director at Greys Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington, where he provides a wide range of pathology services. During his career, Dr. Freed has served as Medical Director and Director of Blood Bank at four different hospitals across the country, has published numerous articles and abstracts, and patented three scientific methods.
Dr. Freed attended medical school at the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine.
Dr. Horton attended medical school at the Albany Medical College in Albany, NY and was fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Pulmonary and Mediastinal Branch in Washington, DC. Dr. Horton also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He holds sub-specialty expertise in Pulmonary Pathology and Transplant Pathology.
As Chairman and CEO, Dr. Howard leads CellNetix' best-in-class, highly sub-specialized pathology group and laboratories. He has authored numerous publications related to the imunobiology of malignant diseases, particularly breast cancer and lymphomas, and is a regular speaker at national pathology and laboratory conferences. Dr. Howard serves on the editorial advisory board of Washington G2 Reports.
Dr. Hunter is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Dermatopathology, Internal Medicine, and Medical Microbiology.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude in Biology from Carleton College, Dr. Isacson completed her Medical Degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She interned in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical Center before completing her residency in Pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, followed by a two-year fellowship in Gynecological Pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Kahn is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. He holds sub-specialty expertise in Breast Pathology and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA). Dr. Kahn attended medical school at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology from the University Hospitals of Cleveland. At the same institute he was Chief Resident in Clinical Pathology and completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Currently, Dr. Kawamoto is the Laboratory Medical Director at Stevens Hospital. He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver and is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Kawamoto was fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Colorado Medical Center.
Dr. Kitchell attended medical school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She was Chief Resident in Clinical Pathology at the New England Deaconess Hospital at Harvard University in Boston. She also completed residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the New England Deaconess Hospital, and in Anatomic Pathology at the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Kulander attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Kulander completed two residencies in Pathology from the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle and from the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle.
Dr. Kuten is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. He holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Soft Tissue/Bones/Joints Pathology and Fine Needle Aspiration.
Dr. Mantei obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington, after first obtaining a Masters in Health Administration from that same institution. She went on to obtain a Fellowship award in the sub-specialty area of Hematopatholgy, and has sub-specialty expertise in Flow Cytometry. Dr. Mantei also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Washington. She is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.
Dr. McDonagh attended medical school at the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC. She is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology.
Dr. McDonagh completed two fellowships at the prestigious M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She has published a variety of abstracts and articles in pathology journals which resulted from research conducted during post-graduate training. In 1988, Dr. McDonagh joined the group that would eventually become CellNetix.
Currently, Dr. Odell is the Laboratory Medical Director at Mason General Hospital in Olympia, WA. He serves on the CellNetix Board of Directors and is Chairman of the CellNetix Compensation Committee. Dr. Odell also serves on the Credentials Committee at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Dr. Oh attended medical school at the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. She is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology. She completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, and was a Lab Instructor for Microbiology and Pathology at Harvard Medical School.
Prior to joining CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories, Dr. Oh served as an attending pathologist at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, signing out general surgical pathology and hematopathology specimens.
Dr. Patton has special interests in Gastrointestinal Pathology, Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Microbiology. He has participated in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program for 25 years, serving as Washington State Commissioner, Pacific NW Regional Commissioner, and most recently as a member of the Laboratory Accreditation Committee. He is also the past Chief of Staff of Northwest Hospital and former President of the Washington State Society of Pathologists.
Dr. Peck has been with the Olympia pathology group since 1980. He is an active and influential member of the Olympia medical community and sits on the Providence St. Peter Hospital community board. He is also on the Washington State Breast and Cervical Health Program, Medical Advisory Committee.
Dr. Perez-Reyes has extensive experience as lecturer for Cytopathology and Fine Needle Aspiration(FNA) teaching conferences. She has given several Grand Rounds and regional conferences on new technology in Pap tests including liquid-based Pap tests, HPV testing, and the Bethesda System for Pap test reporting. Dr. Perez-Reyes has published a wide range of topics relating to research activities including cervical human papillomaviruses, immortalization of human smooth muscle cells, breast FNAs, and Pap tests. Dr. Perez-Reyes joined the pathology group in 1999.
After graduating magna cum laude in Biology from Harvard University, Dr. Pizer obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She went on to earn her Graduate Ph.D. by completing the Medical Scientist Training program at the same institute. Dr. Pizer then began her tenure at the Johns Hopkins institutions completing her internship, residency, and a two-year fellowship in Gynecological Pathology and Molecular Pathology. Dr.
Dr. Pointon attended medical school at the University of Nevada in Reno. He was Chief Resident in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA and completed residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Pathology at the same institute. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Ranguelov attended medical school at the Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria. In Bulgaria, he also completed a residency in Anatomic Pathology at the Pirogov National Institute for Emergency Medicine. In addition, he completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. During his residency training in Iowa, Dr. Ranguelov was inspired by the passion, wisdom, and effective teaching of Dr. Frank Mitros. Under Dr.
Dr. Rank is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology and has sub-specialty expertise in Hepatobiliary Pathology, Pancreatic Pathology, and Gastrointestinal Pathology. Dr. Rank attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. He completed a residency in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of Washington and another in Laboratory Medicine from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Jon A. Reed, M.D. joined CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories in 2009 from Baylor College of Medicine, where he has been the Director of Dermatopathology and a tenured Professor of Pathology and of Dermatology.
Dr. Reed has an international reputation as an invited lecturer, presenter and researcher. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards and is a member of the editorial boards for several professional journals. He has produced over 75 peer-reviewed publications as well as over 120 original abstracts.
Dr. Rostad is a well-known and respected Neuropathologist, whose expertise is widely sought. He participates in the neuro-oncology and epilepsy conferences at Swedish Medical Center and has special interests in brain tumors and epilepsy, as well as muscle, eye, pituitary, and nerve disorders. His current research interests include brain tumors and epilepsy. He is frequently named by his peers as one of "Seattle's Best Doctors" in local publications.
Dr. Schmidt attended medical school and completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She additionally completed a fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
Dr. Simrell received his M.D. from the University of Florida in Gainesville and then spent a year there as a NIH Postdoctoral Trainee in Cell Biology and Immunobiology of Cancer. Dr. Simrell then went on to become Medical Officer in the Hematopathology Section at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Simrell joined Northwest Pathology Services in 1993 and became part of CellNetix when the two entities merged in 2008.
Dr. Sturgis joined the Everett staff of CellNetix in 2007, coming from Evanston, Illinois, where he was Director of Cytopathology at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, as well as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is a nationally recognized figure in Cytopathology and recently served as a member of one of the NCI Thyroid State of the Science Committees. Dr.Sturgis also functions as a reviewer for Cancer Cytopathology, Diagnostic Cytopathology, and Acta Cytologica.
Dr. Thornton attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He was Co-Chief Resident in Surgical Pathology at the University of Washington, and completed residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, as well as a fellowship in Surgical Pathology, at the same institute. Dr. Thornton is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. He holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Breast Pathology, Cytopathology, and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA).
Dr. Tickman is Chairman of the Swedish Hospital Cancer Committee and is involved in Cancer Registry activities. At the same institute, he was Chief Resident of Surgical Pathology and completed residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Tran holds additional sub-specialty expertise in Dermatopathology and Anatomic Pathology.
Dr. Wang attended medical school at the School of Medicine, Taipei Medical University, in Taiwan. His Ph.D. training from the University of California provides expertise in molecular biology, which has proven essential in the diagnosis and prognosis of tumors. Dr. Wang completed residencies in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology from the University of Washington. He is fellowship trained in Immunohistochemistry from the University of Washington and in Molecular Medicine from the Institute of Biotechnology, Center for Molecular Medicine, University of Texas in San Antonio.
Dr. Whitten is currently the Medical Director for the Clinical Laboratory of Providence St. Peter Hospital and is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington, Department of Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Whitten obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He is fellowship trained in Pediatric Pathology from the Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle. He also completed residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Wolinsky is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. She attended medical school at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Wolinsky completed residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, in Pathology from the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and in Internal Medicine from the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She joined our pathology group in 1998.
A graduate of University of California, Riverside, Dr. Bisla obtained his Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
