Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue block or cell block, or 1 unstained charged slide for each test requested plus 3-4 additional unstained slides cut at 4 microns. Adequate space on each slide for control tissue is required.

Labels smooth muscle and striated muscle cells as well as myoepithelial cells and mesothelial cells and useful for the identification of rhabdomyosarcoma, leiomyomas, and reactive mesothelial cells. Also expressed in a range of other soft tissue tumors including desmoplastic small round cell tumors and myofibromas.
